At Sissa Sorella, where shoe love is true love, we’ve always believed in the power of women supporting women - whether it’s through a connection or conversation in store, the helping to find perfect pair of shoes to brighten your day or something much bigger.

This July, we’re stepping up again, quite literally, in support of Karinya House, an incredible Canberra-based charity that provides safe housing and vital support for women and babies in need. Our founder, Kate, along with our beautiful Fe, will be taking part in the Walk for Hope Charity Appeal, walking 9 kilometres while carrying 9 kilograms each to symbolise the weight and strength of pregnancy.

Why We Walk

We first partnered with Karinya House in September 2024 with our Million Steps Fundraiser, followed by a donation of shoes to women supported by the organisation. The experience left a lasting impact on us and we knew it was just the beginning.

This year’s walk is about more than just distance, it’s a way to show solidarity, raise awareness, and help fund life-changing support for women who are navigating some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

The 9kg we’ll be carrying represents the physical and emotional load that pregnancy can bring and serves as a reminder of just how important it is for women to have community around them.

How You Can Support

If you'd like to help us reach our fundraising goal, you can make a donation through our official Walk for Hope page here:

Donate to Kate and Fe’s Walk for Hope

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Karinya House continue its incredible work offering safety, dignity and connection to women and children in our community.

Walking Beside Women

At Sissa Sorella, we’re proud to stand (and walk) for our community. We believe every woman deserves to be supported, not just with beautiful shoes, but with kindness, care and a community that walks beside her.

Thanks for being part of that community, together we can all make a difference.

With love,
Kate & the Sissa Sorella Team
