Nominate Her | Mother's Day 2026
She Deserves This - Introducing the Sissa Sorella Mother's Day Collaboration
Mother's Day means something different to everyone. For some of us it's about our mums. For others it's a stepmother who stepped up, a grandmother who never stopped showing up, or a friend who became family in all the ways that matter. However she shows up in your life - this one's for her.
This Mother's Day, Sissa Sorella is doing something a little different. We've brought together a group of Canberra's most talented, passionate, women-led businesses to create something truly special - a campaign that celebrates the women in our community.
Introducing the Sissa Sorella Mother's Day Styling & Photography Experience
We're inviting our community to nominate a special woman in their life for a full Canberra Styling & Photography Experience - a morning of being pampered, styled, and photographed with someone they love by their side.
One winner (and the person who nominated her) will receive:
- A pair of shoes each, gifted from Sissa Sorella
- A wash, treatment, style and blow dry each from Blonde Poetry
- A personal mini wardrobe review - one hour in the nominated winners own wardrobe plus a half-hour in Sissa Sorella selecting the perfect shoes - from Style Liberation
- A professional half-hour photoshoot with five edited digital images from Kerrie Brewer Photographer
It's a morning that she will remember and a wonderful experience to share. Please see T&C’s for details.
Meet the Collaborators
We are so proud to be doing this alongside three of Canberra's most inspiring women-led businesses. Here's a little about who they are and why we love them.

Blonde Poetry is one of Canberra's most loved hair salons, with salons in Curtin, Gungahlin and Bungendore (opening this month!). Founded and led by a team of women who are as passionate about their clients as they are about their craft, Blonde Poetry has built a loyal community around the belief that great hair is about so much more than how you look - it's about taking time, taking care of yourself, slowing down and how you feel walking out the door. We are delighted to have them as part of this experience, and we know their contribution to the prize day will be nothing short of gorgeous.

Fiona from Style Liberation is one of Canberra’s favourite Personal Stylists who works with women to help them reconnect with their wardrobes, their confidence, and themselves. Her approach is practical, warm, and genuinely transformative - she isn't about trends or rules, it's about understanding who you are and dressing accordingly. The wardrobe session Fiona is gifting as part of this prize is the kind of thing most women never do for themselves.

Kerrie Brewer is a Canberra-based photographer with a gift for capturing people exactly as they are - real, beautiful, and alive in the moment. Her work is warm, natural, and utterly timeless. The five edited digital images she'll create on prize day will be something the winner and her nominator treasure for years to come. We couldn't imagine anyone better to document this experience.
How to Nominate
Nominating is simple - and we'd love you to do it.
Head to our nomination form, tell us about the woman in your life who deserves this moment, and share her story. What makes her extraordinary? What has she meant to you? Why does she deserve to be seen and celebrated?
Written nominations are how we'll select our winner - so take your time, write from the heart, and tell us about her.
A few things to note:
- Nominations are open to ACT residents aged 18 and over (we have an Instagram based comp for our interstate clients and followers)
- Both the nominator and the nominated person must be 18 or over and based in the ACT or able to travel (at your own cost)
- Nominations close Wednesday 7 May at 7:00pm
- The winner will be announced on Mother's Day, Sunday 10 May
- Full terms and conditions apply.
A Note on Mother's Day
We also want to take a moment to acknowledge that Mother's Day isn't a simple day for everyone.
For some, it brings grief - the ache of a mother who is no longer here, or a relationship with motherhood that has been marked by loss, distance, or complexity. For others it's a reminder of estrangement, of longing, or of a version of family that looks nothing like the one on the greeting cards.
We see you, and this campaign is for you too.
Because the women who have supported us - who have loved us, steadied us, and shown up for us - come in so many forms. A grandmother who raised you. A friend who held you together. A mentor who believed in you before you believed in yourself. An aunt, a neighbour, a chosen family member who became everything.
This campaign is about all of them. And if nominating someone feels like a way to honour a relationship that doesn't always get recognised, we think that's a beautiful thing.
Mother's Day can be complicated. But celebrating the women who have shaped us - in whatever form that takes - isn’t.
Why behind the campaign
Because we believe in the power of Canberra women supporting Canberra women.
Every business involved in this collaboration is led by a woman who has built something beautiful - a business, a community, a craft. Bringing them together felt natural. And creating a prize that celebrates the women in our community, told through the stories of the people who love them, felt like exactly the kind of Mother's Day moment worth creating.
We can't wait to read the nominations. We have a feeling they're going to be extraordinary.
With love, The Sissa Sorella Team
Nominations open Wednesday 23 April and close Wednesday 7 May at 7:00pm AEST. Open to ACT residents aged 18+. This is a game of skill - the winner will be selected on the merit of their written nomination. Full terms and conditions.
